PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE MEETINGS SCHEDULED FOR US 24 -- NAPOLEON TO TOLEDO -- PRELIMINARY DEVELOPMENT STUDY
The Ohio Department of Transportation -- District 2 is hosting two identical open house meetings for the US 24 Preliminary Development Study. These initial meetings are intended to solicit information from the general public about transportation problems that exist along US 24 between Napoleon and Toledo, Ohio. Citizens will also be asked to comment on alternative corridors being considered for further investigation and analysis. This corridor is approximately 25 miles long and the area to be studied for potential improvements includes the counties of Fulton, Henry, Lucas, and Wood.
On Wednesday, June 2, 1999, an open house meeting will be held at Waterville Elementary School located at 457 Sycamore Lane, Waterville, Ohio. A second open house meeting, with the same information, will be held on Thursday, June 3, 1999, at the Liberty Center High School, 103 W. Young Street, Liberty Center, Ohio. Both meetings will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and citizens may attend either meeting.
Ohio DOT District 2 personnel, along with the consultant study team members, local officials, and representatives of the Fort to Port Improvement Organization will be available for one-on-one discussions with citizens. The meetings are open house format and no formal presentations will be made.
Sverdrup Associates, Inc. of Columbus, Ohio is leading the consulting team conducting the US 24 Preliminary Development Study.
