U.S. 6 Closure Rescheduled
Lorain County: U.S. Route 6, between Broadway Avenue and Arkansas Avenue in the City of Lorain, which was originally scheduled to close tomorrow (June 5), will now close Monday, June 9, for repairs to the Charles Berry Bascule Bridge. The detour route for eastbound motorists is U.S. 6 to State Route 611, east on SR-611 to State Route 301, north on SR-301 to U.S. 6, and reverse for westbound motorists. While the permanent detour for this work will remain in place through September 2 (or possibly later), the bridge will reopen for special events from June 27 – 29; July 3 – 5; and July 18 – 20.
