ODOT District 3 Weekly Construction Report
For the Week of November 19


ERIE COUNTY
State Route 60
SR 60, just north of the intersection of SR 60 and SR 113, is closed for a culvert replacement. The detour route for northbound motorists is SR 60 to SR 113, west on SR 113 to SR 61, north on SR 61 to SR 2, east on SR 2 to SR 60, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen Friday, November 30, 2018. All work is weather dependent.  

HURON COUNTY
US Route 250 
US 250, from Mason Rd. to the limits of Norwalk, will have intermittent single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete November 2018; however, all work is weather depended and is subject to change.

LORAIN COUNTY
US Route 6: Bridge Repairs
US 6, between Washington Ave. and Arizona Ave., will be reduced to one lane of traffic for bridge repairs on the Charles Berry Bascule Bridge. The westbound lanes to traffic and the north sidewalk are closed. One lane of traffic in each direction is being maintained in the westbound lanes. A sidewalk detour is posted for pedestrians. Specific project work can be found online at dot.state.oh.us/districts/D03/Pages/LOR-6-Charles-Berry-Bascule-Bridge0501-5976.aspx. The project is expected to be complete December 2019.

 

US Route 20: Major Widening
US 20, between Stoney Ridge Rd. and Lear Nagle Rd., will have one lane of traffic maintained in each direction. Traffic has been shifted to the south side of US 20, from Jaycox to Main Ave. There will be one lane in each direction with a turn lane down the center. The dedicated left turns on Lear Nagle Rd. to US 20 have been eliminated. The signal timing has been changed to accommodate the loss of those turn lanes. Lanes widths will be reduced to 10’. To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing by the work zone. Pedestrians and bicyclists should use extreme caution while traveling through the work zone and stay out of the active work area to avoid conflicts with construction vehicles and equipment. The project is expected to be complete October 2019; however, all work is weather dependent.

Interstate 90: Bridge Replacement
I-90, at the bridges over SR 57 and West River Rd., will have nightly lane closures as crews continue work on the bridge replacement. I-90 eastbound traffic has been shifted onto the new structures and pavement and is now back to a normal traffic pattern. I-90 eastbound and westbound will have nightly intermittent lane closures for project work. West River Rd., under I-90, is now open to traffic. All exit and entrance ramps to and from SR 57 will remain open. Motorists are advised to use caution while traveling through the area and to be aware of construction vehicles entering and exiting the zone. The project is expected to be complete May 2019; however, all work is weather dependent.

Interstate 90/State Route 83 ***UPDATE***

I-90, at the SR 83 exit ramps, will have intermittent lane closures as crews complete signal work. All lanes are currently open to traffic. Work has been suspended until the traffic signal poles are delivered on site. The tentative delivery date is scheduled for mid-December. SR 83 exit ramps and I-90 traffic will be maintained at all times. The project is expected to be complete January 2019.

Interstate 90: Resurfacing
I-90, just west of SR 611 to the Cuyahoga County line, will have intermittent daily and nightly lane closures for berming operations and pavement striping. Crews will be working eastbound and westbound along I-90 as they complete pavement repairs and work on entrance/exit ramps in the area. Motorists are advised to use caution while traveling through the area and to be aware of construction vehicles entering and exiting the zone. The project is expected to be complete November 2018.

Interstate 90: Bridge Replacement

I-90 westbound, at the I-90 structure over the SR 2 split, will have single lane and shoulder closures for a bridge replacement. One lane of traffic will be maintained using a concrete barrier divide. The westbound I-90 exit to the Turnpike Toll Gate will be maintained at all times. The project is expected to be complete December 2018.

MEDINA COUNTY

US Route 42: Widening Project

US 42, from just south of Harding Street to just south of Reagan Parkway, will have intermittent lane closures as crews continue finishing work along the corridor. Motorists are advised to use caution while traveling through the work zone. Specific project work can be found online at dot.state.oh.us/districts/D03/Pages/MED-42_WideningProject. The entire project is expected to be complete November 2018; however, all work is weather dependent and is subject to change.

State Route 57

SR 57, between Eastern Rd. and I-76, will have intermittent lane closures for a resurfacing project. Crews continue paving, berm work, and striping the roadway. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete November 2018.

 

RICHLAND COUNTY
State Route 39

SR 39, from Country Club Dr. to Taylortown Rd., will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Crews are finishing paving, berm, and pavement markings. The project is expected to be complete November 2018.

 

Interstate 71 ***UPDATE***

I-71, between SR 97 and SR 39 interchanges, will have intermittent single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Crews continue to work on temporary striping, rumble strips and other miscellaneous work. The project is expected to be complete November 2018.

 

WAYNE COUNTY

State Route 57

SR 57, from the southern Corp. limit to the northern Corp. limit in the City of Orrville, will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete November 2018.​
