ODOT District 3 Weekly Construction Report
For the Week of July 23

ASHLAND COUNTY
State Route 60
SR-60, between Township Road 705 and Township Road 2104 in Vermillion Township, is closed for a culvert replacement. The detour route for southbound motorists is SR-60 to State Route 179, south on SR-179 to State Route 95, west on SR-95 to SR-60, and reverse for northbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen on July 28, 2012.
US Route 224
US 224, from the Huron County line to State Route 58, is restricted to one lane of two-way traffic as part of a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained at all times with flaggers. The project is expected to be complete in mid-October, 2012.
US Route 250
US 250, at its bridge over the Vermilion River (between TR-448 and CR-500) in Ruggles Township, is reduced to one lane of two-way traffic as part of a bridge replacement project. Traffic will be maintained at all times with a temporary traffic signal. The project is expected to be complete in mid-October, 2012.
US Route 250
US 250, between County Road 1575 and Township Road 653 in Montgomery Township, is reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction. Traffic will be maintained at all times in each direction with narrowed lane widths. Access to businesses will also be maintained; however, motorists should be prepared for delays throughout construction of this project. The project is expected to be complete in mid-December, 2012.
CRAWFORD COUNTY
State Route 98
SR-98, between US Route 30 and Dickson Road, is restricted to one lane of two-way traffic as part of a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained at all times with flaggers. The project will be complete at the end of November 2012.
State Route 98
SR-98, at two locations just east and west of State Route 602, is closed for bridge replacements. The detour route for northbound motorists is SR-98 to State Route 96, east on SR-96 to State Route 598, north on SR-598 to SR-98, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen in mid-August, 2012.
ERIE COUNTY
State Route 2
SR-2, between the State Route 13 and Berlin Road interchanges, is reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction for bridge repairs. The project is expected to be complete in October 2012.
US Route 6
US 6 (Liberty Avenue), just east of West River Road in the City of Vermilion, is reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction for a project to repair and repaint the bridge. This project is expected to be complete in late September, 2012.
US Route 6
US 6, just east of State Route 13 in the City of Huron, is reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction for bridge repair work. The project is expected to be complete in October 2012.
State Route 13
SR-13, between Riverside Drive and Sommerset Drive in the City of Huron, is restricted to one lane of two-way traffic for bridge repairs as part of an upcoming resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained at all times with a temporary traffic signal. The bridge work is expected to be complete on August 6, 2012.
HURON COUNTY
State Route 113 - ***NEW***
SR-113, between Prairie Road and State Route 4 in Lyme Township, will close Monday, July 23 for a culvert replacement.  The detour route for eastbound motorists is SR-113 to US Route 20, east on US 20 to SR-4, north on SR-4 to SR-113, and reverse for westbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen on July 27, 2012.
State Route 162 - ***NEW***
SR-162, between US Route 250 and the Seneca County line, will be restricted to one lane of two-way traffic for a preventive maintenance project beginning Monday, July 23. Traffic will be maintained at all times with flaggers. The project is expected to be complete at the end of August 2012.
LORAIN COUNTY
US Route 20
US 20, from just west of the Parson Road overpass to the Middle Avenue overpass, is reduced to two narrowed 11’ lane widths of traffic in each direction for resurfacing work. Traffic using the US 20 & State Route 301 interchange will also be reduced to narrower lanes. Motorists are advised to use caution and remember that the speed limit has been reduced to 55 mph within this construction work zone. The project is expected to be complete in late September 2012.
Interstate 90
I-90, at its twin bridge structures over the Black River and Ford Road, is reduced to two narrowed 11’ lane widths of traffic in each direction for bridge deck replacements. The restrictions will remain in place through November 2013. 
Interstate 90
I-90, at its Nagel Road overpass (between State Route 83 and Crocker Road), may have intermittent lane restrictions for work as part of the new interchange construction project. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained at all times during the daytime hours. The project is expected to be complete in September 2013.
·         Nagel Road
Nagel Road, over Interstate 90 (between Chester Road and Avon Road), is closed as part of the new interchange construction project. Detour is posted. The road is expected to reopen in September 2013.
MEDINA COUNTY
State Route 3
SR-3, between the City of Medina and Ledge Road, is reduced to one lane of two-way traffic for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained at all times with flaggers. Motorists should be prepared for delays throughout the construction of this project.  The project is expected to be complete in late September 2012.
US Route 42
US 42, from Sleepy Hollow Road to Boston Road in the City of Brunswick, is reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction as part of a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained at all times with flaggers. The project is expected to be complete in late October 2012.
State Route 57
SR-57, between the Lorain County Line and State Route 18, is restricted to one lane of two-way traffic for work as part of a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete in mid-September, 2012.
Interstate 76
I-76 eastbound, between State Route 57 and State Route 94, is reduced to one lane of traffic for a reconstruction project. Motorists are advised to use caution in this area and watch for slower moving traffic as it merges in to the open lane. The project will be complete in September 2013.
SR-57 Ramp to I-76 East
The SR-57 entrance ramp to I-76 eastbound is closed as work continues on rehabilitating the interstate corridor. The detour route for eastbound motorists is SR-57 to I-76, west on I-76 to State Route 3, south on SR-3 to I-76 east. The ramp is expected to reopen in early August, 2012.

The exit ramp from I-76 eastbound to SR-57 is closed for repaving work. The detour route is I-76 east to State Route 94, north on SR-94 to I-76, west on I-76 to SR-57. The ramp is expected to reopen in early August, 2012.
US Route 224
US 224, at its overlap with Rivers Corners Road (between State Route 301 and US Route 42), is closed as part of a CSX railroad bridge replacement project. The detour route for westbound motorists is US 224 to US 42, south on US 42 to State Route 89, north on SR-89 to State Route 58, north on SR-58 to US 224, and reverse for eastbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen in mid-November, 2012. 
State Route 252
SR-252, between State Route 303 and State Route 57, is reduced to one lane of two-way traffic for resurfacing work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers at all times. The project is expected to be complete in November 2012. 
State Route 421 - ***NEW***
SR-421, between State Route 83 and US Route 42 in the village of Lodi, will close for two culvert replacements. The detour route for eastbound motorists is SR-421 to US Route 224/US Route 42, north east on US 224 to SR-421, and reverse for westbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen on July 27, 2012.
RICHLAND COUNTY
State Route 13
SR-13, just south of Ganges Five Points Road in Franklin Township, is reduced to one lane of two-way traffic for bridge repairs as part of an upcoming resurfacing project. The work is expected to be complete on July 30, 2012.
State Route 13 - ***NEW***
SR-13, between the Huron County line and State Route 603, is reduced to one lane of two-way traffic as part of a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained at all times with flaggers. The project is expected to be complete in mid-October, 2012.
State Route 13 - ***NEW***
SR-13 (North Diamond Street/North Main Street), between Fifth Street (State Route 39) and the northern corporation limit of Mansfield, will be restricted to one lane of two-way traffic beginning Monday, July 23 as part of an urban paving project. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers. The project is expected to be complete in mid-October, 2012.
State Route 39
SR-39, at its intersection with Trimble Road in Madison Township, has intermittent single lane closures as part of a signalization upgrade project. Traffic will be maintained at all times with flaggers. The project is expected to be complete by the end of August 2012.
US Route 42
US 42, at its intersection with Parry Avenue in Madison Township, has intermittent single lane closures as part of a signalization upgrade project. Traffic will be maintained at all times with flaggers. The project is expected to be complete by the end of August 2012.
Interstate 71 - ***NEW***
I-71, between mile markers 165 and 172 (between State Route 97 and State Route 39), will have double lane closures for pavement repair work. The lane closures will begin Sunday, July 22 at 7:00 p.m. and continue each night through 7:00 a.m. the following morning through Thursday, July 26. One lane of traffic will be maintained at all times in each direction during the night work; however, two lanes will be maintained throughout the day.
Interstate 71 (Morrow County)
I-71 southbound, from just south of the Morrow/Richland County line to State Route 95 (between mile markers 158 and 150), is reduced to two narrowed lanes of traffic for the reconstruction and widening project. Two lanes will be maintained at all times in the southbound direction. The project is expected to be complete October 2013.
·         County Road 14, at its bridge over I-71, is closed for bridge replacement work as part of this project. Detours are posted. The road is expected to reopen in mid-September, 2012.
WAYNE COUNTY
State Route 3
SR-3, from just north of Columbus Avenue Extension to State Route 226, is restricted to one lane of traffic in each direction as part of a pavement repair project. Traffic will be maintained at all times in each direction. The project is expected to be complete by late July, 2012.
State Route 3 - ***NEW***
SR-3, between Romich Road and Myers Street in the Village of Creston, will close Monday, July 23 for a culvert replacement. The detour route for northbound motorists is SR-3 to State Route 604, west on SR-604 to State Route 83, north on SR-83 to Interstate 71, north on I-71 to Interstate 76, east on I-76 to SR-3, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen on August 22, 2012. 
US Route 250
US 250, between State Route 83 and Kidron Road, is restricted to one lane of two-way traffic for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained at all times with flaggers. The project is expected to be complete in mid-September, 2012.
State Route 57
SR-57, 0.5 mile south of State Route 585, is restricted to one lane of two-way traffic for bridge repairs as part of an upcoming resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained at all times with a temporary traffic signal. The bridge work is expected to be complete in early October, 2012.

SR-57, between the City of Rittman and the City of Orrville, will be restricted to one lane of two-way traffic as part of a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained at all times with flaggers beginning Monday, July 23. The project is expected to be complete at the end of October, 2012.
Britton Road
Britton Road, at its bridge over Interstate 71, is closed for a bridge repair project. The detour is posted. The road is expected to reopen on July 30, 2012.
