preventative maintenance at four locations within ODOT District 3
ASHLAND & MEDINA COUNTY (Tuesday, November 13,
ODOT is planning to conduct preventative maintenance in the form of
substructure sealing, abutment and pier repairs, approach slab and deck wearing
surface repairs, restriping road lines, paving a culvert invert, and cleaning
and lubricating abutment bearings. This work will be performed at four
locations within Ashland and Medina counties. These locations are s
US 30 in Ashland County: Culvert under
US 30 carrying Seymour Run.
SR 83: Bridge over East Branch Black
River in Lodi, Ohio.
US 224: Bridge over westbound IR-76 just
west of IR 71.
IR 71: Railroad bridge over IR 71
No new permanent
right-of-way will be required to conduct this work. No stream, wetlands, or
ecological resources will be impacted. The 100-year floodplain of East Branch
Black River will not be impacted by this project. There will not be deep excavation
at any of these location and utilities will not be relocated during

require road closures. One lane of traffic will be maintained always
during construction. The construction start date is anticipated to begin in
calendar year 2020.
