Comments for Bridge Rehabilitation Project on State Route 601 in Huron County
HURON COUNTY (Friday, January 18, 2019) The subject project is a bridge rehabilitation project on State Route 601, at
the 1.02 mile marker, in Huron County. The existing structure is a prestressed
concrete box beam bridge structure on concrete abutments that was built in
1994. The proposed work will be to replace the existing superstructure with
composite prestressed box beams on widened abutments. All work to be completed
with the project will be within the existing ODOT right-of-way.
During construction a full roadway closure will need
to take place, while maintaining full access to the driveways located within
the project area. The detour for southbound traffic is as follows: SR601
southbound, to US20 westbound, to SR18 eastbound, reverse for northbound
is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2020, and last approximately 45 days.
