ODOT Seeks Comments for Culvert Maintenance Project on US224 in Medina County

MEDINA COUNTY (Wednesday, January 30, 2019) The subject project is to perform maintenance on an existing culvert located in Medina County, on US224 at the 15.61 mile marker. The existing structure is an 87”X 63”X 180’corrugated metal arch that was built in 1956. The project will consist of removing all debris inside of the culvert and lining the culvert with a structural spray liner. The project will also consist of placing rock channel protection at the outlet of the culvert and replacing the headwalls at both the inlet and outlet of the structure. All work will be completed within existing ODOT right-of-way.

During construction traffic will be maintained with lane closures and signage.

Construction is anticipated to begin in the winter of 2020, and last approximately 30 days.

Written comments concerning the proposed project may be mailed to Levi Wingler, Environmental Specialist, ODOT District 3, 906 Clark Avenue, Ashland OH 44805. You can also contact by telephone at (800) 276-4188 or by email at levi.wingler@dot.ohio.gov.
