Medina Regional Transportation Study

The Medina Regional Transportation Study will examine existing transportation conditions and evaluate transportation alternatives for the City of Medina, as well as the surrounding townships of Medina, Montville, Lafayette and York.

The current transportation network in Medina is characterized by arterial routes (two-lane and multi-lane roadways) radiating from the City of Medina and Interstate 71, which runs north-south through the east side of the study area.

Problems identified in the study include auto and truck traffic congestion at points on the arterial network, especially in the City of Medina. There is also a desire for another access point to Interstate 71 in Montville Township. For purposes of current analysis years, the scope of work assumes that current year 2014 traffic counts will be forecast to a design year of 2034.
