District 3 serves the multi-modal transportation needs of north central Ohio, including Ashland, Crawford, Erie, Huron, Lorain, Medina, Richland, and Wayne counties. There are more than 4,150 lane miles of Interstate, U.S., and State Routes maintained by District 3. Our bridge inspectors monitor the conditions of 1,419 bridges annually. |

Adopt-A-HighwayBy volunteering to clean a two-mile stretch of highway, at least four times each year, groups care for the environment, their community, and help minimize ODOT's maintenance costs. Bureau of Motor VehiclesThe Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles, which oversees driver and motor vehicle licensing and registration, continues to make services more convenient, efficient and cost-effective. Gateway Landscaping ProgramThis program, funded by Federal Transportation Enhancement Funds, has set aside $500,000 for highway landscaping in Ohio communities. Local Transit InformationODOT works with local communities and advocates personal mobility by supporting, coordinating, and funding Public Transportation. Motor Carrier Consumer InformationCommercial transportation companies in Ohio are public utilities under the jurisdiction of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. The PUCO registers motor carriers and ensures they adhere to state and federal safety standards.
