Plan Design and Review

The Plan Design and Review Section is responsible for reviewing all aspects of construction plans as they are prepared. Each Project Manager is responsible for a variety of projects to either design using Production staff or to review plans submitted by consultants. This entails coordination regarding utilities, environmental permits and clearances, and real estate acquisition, in addition to engineering experience and knowledge of ODOT's design standards.

Staff members are also involved in the planning process as projects are added to the work plan to lend expertise for potential red flags that could arise during the design process to avoid red flags. At times, the staff is called upon by the construction personnel on a project to address concerns while a project is under construction. The remaining staff within the Production Department have been assigned to one of the project managers to assist in delivering assigned projects within the scope, schedule, and budget envisioned for each project.
