Business & Human Resources
The Business & Human Resources Department consists of the Facilities, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Safety, and Telecommunications Sections. Its core mission is to provide assistance and support to District 4, Central Office and its external customers.

The following Departments make up the Business and Human Resources Office:
Finance Section
District 4 Finance is responsible for processing payroll, accounts payables, and accounts receivables, while also overseeing purchasing, inventories, and the operating budget.
Information Technology Section
The Information Technology Section provides computer support services to District 4 and acts as a liaison with the Central Office Department of Information Technology. The Information Technology Section also provides support to District 4 by maintaining the telephone systems at the District Office complex as well as the county garages and outposts. It maintains necessary telecommunication and computer equipment inventories and provides support for the District’s cell phones, pagers, security system and weather system.
Facilities Management Section
Facilities Management is a support component responsible for the construction, repair and maintenance of all buildings, fuel systems, wastewater and drinking water. Facilities are located at all County Garage, Outpost Garage and Rest Area locations within District 4.
Human Resources Section
The Human Resources Section plans, coordinates and manages personnel programs for District 4 and acts as liaison with Central Office Personnel. This Section provides customer service to approximately 520 full and part-time employees as well as oversees all associated records and activities.
The Human Resources Section oversees the annual summer program and a year round internship program. Human Resources recruits through many universities and vocational schools and attends job fairs in all district counties.
Safety and Health Section
District 4 Safety and Health Department is responsible for the safety and health of employees, as well as reducing the liability of the department as a whole.
Safety and Health Department responsibilities include investigating all District 4 injury claims, processing BWC and internal paperwork. The department also investigates all vehicle accidents and damage claims. The respiratory protection, hazardous waste, Adopt-A-Highway, Safety training, Security and the annual Truck Rodeo are administered by the department.
