Of all ODOT's employees, the County Highway Maintenance Workers are those who are the most visible to the traveling public. These are the employees who clear the state highways of snow and ice during the winter months. When not cleaning snow and ice, or responding to other emergencies, county crews perform highway maintenance such as:
Guardrail Installation and Repair
Pavement Repair and Resurfacing
Vegetation Control - Mowing and Cutting Brush
Drain Cleaning and Maintenance
Sign and Pavement Marking Replacement
The Trumbull County Garage facility is located in Cortland, just north of where SR 5 and SR 46 intersect. This county maintains the roadways on federal and state routes in and around Warren, Niles, Girard, Newton Falls, Cortland, Kinsman, New Farmington, Hartford, Lordstown and Hubbard.
