State Route 59 in Franklin Township
(Until further notice)
SR 59 from Powder Mill Rd. to Menough Rd. is reduced to one lane in each direction for widening work. This work is part of a $6.2 million project to resurface SR 59 from SR 261 to Menough Rd. which includes the widening of SR 59 to add a dual left turn lane and improve shoulders from the railroad bridge to Menough Rd. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by July 2009.

U. S. Route 62 in the Cities of Canton & Louisville; Plain & Nimishillen Townships
(Until further notice)
US 62 from Columbus Ave. to Harmont Ave. is reduced to one lane in each direction for resurfacing work. This work is part of a $7 million project to resurface US 62 from Columbus Rd. to SR 44. The project also includes minor bridge work to two bridges over Nimishillen Creek. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by June 2010.

State Route 21 in the City of Massillon and Perry Township
(Until further notice)
SR 21 over the Tuscarawas River is reduced to one lane in each direction. This work is part of a $10.2 million project to resurface SR 21 from the southern Massillon Corporation limit to Finefrock Rd. and from the northern Massillon corporation limit to the Lawrence Township line. The project also includes the re-decking and painting of the twin bridges on SR 21 over the Tuscarawas River. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by June 2009.
State Routes 241 (Wales Avenue) & 687 (Fulton Drive) in Jackson Township
(Until further notice)
SR 241 is reduced to one lane in each direction from SR 687 to Shady Hollow Rd. Additional lane restrictions at various locations on SR 241 (Wales Ave.) and SR 687 (Fulton Dr.) will occur for intersection reconstruction. This work is part of a $6.4 million project to improve and widen the intersection of SR 241 and SR 687 in Jackson Township. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by October 2009.

State Route 8 in the City of Akron
(Saturday morning, April 4)
SR 8 northbound at the bridge over North St. and the Little Cuyahoga River (just north of Perkins St.) will be reduced to one lane for bridge deck work. This one lane condition will occur Saturday morning, April 4 from 6 a.m. until approximately 9 a.m. This work is weather dependant.
(The week of Monday, April 6)
- SR 8 northbound at the bridge over North St. and the Little Cuyahoga River (just north of Perkins St.) will be reduced to two lanes.
- The Perkins St. entrance ramp to SR 8 northbound will be closed. A detour will be posted.
All restrictions and closures will occur Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. for bridge inspection work.
State Route 8 in the City of Cuyahoga Falls
(Monday night, April 6 – Until further notice)
SR 8 northbound from just south of Howe Ave. to Graham Rd. will have various lane restrictions for resurfacing work. These restrictions will occur Monday through Friday nights from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. During these hours, SR 8 northbound will be reduced to two lanes at 7 p.m. and then down to one lane at approximately 10 p.m. This work is the beginning of a $6 million project to resurface SR 8 from the Howe Ave. interchange to the Graham Rd. interchange through the City of Cuyahoga Falls. This project also includes bridge work to eleven bridges. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by August 2009.
Interstate 77 in the Village of Richfield and Richfield Township
(Until further notice)
I-77 between I-271 and the Ohio Turnpike will have various nightly lane restrictions in either or both directions to prepare for bridge work. These lane restrictions will occur Monday through Friday nights from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. This work is part of a $10.7 million project to re-deck and paint eight bridges in the northern portion of Summit County on I-77, including two over SR 303, two over Brecksville Rd. and SR 21 southbound, two over Furnace Run and two over Brush Rd. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by late September 2010.
I-271 over the Cuyahoga River in Boston Township
(Until further notice)
I-271 over the Cuyahoga River will be reduced to one lane in either or both directions for bridge work. These lane restrictions will occur Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. These one lane conditions on I-271 are expected to continue throughout the Spring. This work is part of a $34.7 million project to replace the I-271 twin bridges over the Cuyahoga River and the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

State Route 8 and Interstate 271 in Boston Heights, Hudson, Macedonia and Northfield Center Township
(Until further notice)
- SR 8 under I-271 will have various lane restrictions in either or both directions Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
- I-271 northbound and southbound at the I-271/SR 8 interchange is reduced to one 11’ through lane with the right lanes in each direction being an exit-only lane to SR 8. In addition, the I-271 southbound exit ramp to SR 8 is reduced to 11’ as well. These restrictions will remain in place until late September 2009 and are necessary in order to begin the construction of the new I-271 ramps to and from SR 8 and for the reconstruction of three bridges; one over SR 8, one over Brandywine; and one over Olde Eight Rd..
This work is part of a $109.7 million project for the reconstruction of SR 8 from just south of Twinsburg Rd. to just north of I-271. New ramps will be built to access I-271 from SR 8 northbound and SR 8 southbound from I-271 southbound. SR 8 has been separated from Twinsburg Rd. and Highland Rd. has been widened with additional turn lanes and new signalization. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by mid-summer 2010.
State Route 8 at Steels Corners Road in the City of Stow
(Until further notice)
Steels Corners Rd. at the SR 8 interchange and at the intersection of Steels Corners Rd., Allen Rd., and Hudson Dr. has various lane restrictions for widening and reconstruction work. This work is part of a $5.7 million project to widen and reconstruct Steels Corners Rd. from the SR 8 interchange to the Steels Corners Rd./Allen Rd./Hudson Dr. intersection. The project also includes the reconstruction of the existing ramps at SR 8, the Steels Corners Rd. bridge over SR 8 and both Hudson Dr. and Allen Rd. at the intersection of Steels Corners Rd. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by late September 2009.
State Route 82 in the City of Macedonia
(Until further notice)
SR 82 from South Bedford Rd. to just east of Crow Dr. will have a minimum of one lane of traffic in each direction. This work is part of an $18 million project to widen SR 82 to five lanes from South Bedford Rd. to just east of Crow Dr. with the replacement of the railroad bridge over SR 82 in the City of Macedonia. This project also includes drainage and signal improvements. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by late October 2009.
