UPCOMING PROJECT INFORMATION 

ODOT TO RESURFACE AND REPLACE ONE CULVERT ON STATE ROUTE 8 

AKRON - The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) plans to resurface SR-8 in the City of Macedonia and Village of Northfield, Summit County.  As a part of this project, one culvert just north of SR 82 will be replaced.  

The proposed project will not impact any cultural resources, suspect hazardous waste sites or result in substantial impacts to ecological resources.  The project will not result in substantial impacts to the environment. 

The project is expected to begin construction in fall 2008 and be completed by summer 2009. During construction, traffic will be detoured for two weekends. The official detour route will be SR-82 to I-271 to I-271&I-480 to I-480. Access to all adjacent properties shall be maintained at all times during construction of the project. The project cost is $1,122,600.00.
