Interstate 77 in the City of Akron
(Tuesday, October 20 – Friday, October 23)
Beginning on Tuesday, October 20, I-77 southbound between SR 764/Wilbeth Rd. and Arlington Rd. will have various nightly lane restrictions between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. through Friday, October 23, for bridge beam placement.
(Wednesday, October 21- Friday, October 23)
Beginning on Wednesday, October 21, I-77 southbound between SR 764/Wilbeth Rd. and Arlington Rd. will be subject to brief periods of stopped traffic lasting no longer than 15 minutes for bridge beam placement between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.
(Thursday, October 22 -Friday, October 23)
Beginning Thursday, October 22, at 7 p.m. the ramp from I-77 southbound to I-277 westbound will be closed through Friday, October 23, at 5 a.m. for pavement replacement. The detour will be I-277 eastbound to Kelly Ave.
This work is part of a $2.8 million project to widen and replace the ramp from I-77 northbound to I-277 westbound and the Chester Ave. pedestrian bridge over I-76/Kenmore Leg. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by mid-September 2016.
