ODOT Seeks Public Comment On Proposed Projects in Coshocton County
Jacksontown, Ohio (Monday, December 30,2013) – The Ohio Department of Transpiration (ODOT) is seeking public comments regarding the following proposed projects in Coshocton County.
Walhonding Foot Bridge (PID 89251) – The Coshocton City and County Park District, in cooperation with the Ohio Department of Transportation, is proposing to rehabilitate the Walhonding Foot Bridge at the Lake Park Recreational Complex. This project includes the repair of the abutments and piers and replacement of the existing bridge deck with a new wooden deck.
The construction on this project will require temporary closures of the Walhonding bridge and a portion of the trail approaching the bridge. Advanced notification of the closures will be posted at the park and will be found available on the Lake Park Recreational Complex website. The project is scheduled for construction in the spring of 2014.
ODOT is seeking comments from the public about the social, environmental, and economic impacts of this proposed project. Environmental impacts could include those involving archeological, architectural and ecological resources, hazardous materials and the general location of the project.
