Cedar St. (SR 79) eastbound ramps to close Tuesday
Jacksontown, Ohio (Friday, September 27, 2013) – Resurfacing work will take place next Tuesday, October 1 at the State Route 16 and Cedar St. (SR 79) interchange in Newark which will result in the closure of the eastbound ramps.
The contractor for this project will close the eastbound ramps at the interchange in order for this work to occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting.
Upon completion of the resurfacing work each ramp will re-open on the same day that it is closed.
This work is part of a $10.4 million project for the safety reconfiguration project of Cedar St. (SR 79) which includes the addition of signalization at the intersection, the reconfiguration of the ramps, and the widening of the Railroad bridge located just west of Cedar St. ODOT’s contractor for this project is Shelly & Sands Inc., and the completion date is November 15, 2013.
