Interstate 70 Westbound Exit 129 B for State Route 79 North (Buckeye Lake Interchange) to be Closed
Not I-70 Exit 129 A for SR 79 south
Jacksontown, Ohio (Monday, July 8, 2013) – Beginning Monday, July 15th, the Interstate 70 westbound Exit 129 B (for State Route 79 northbound/Buckeye Lake Interchange) in Licking County will be closed to traffic for approximately 14 days.
The westbound Exit 129 B ramp will be closed for resurfacing and widening. This work is part of the safety reconfiguration of the I-70 and SR 79 (Buckeye Lake/Newark Interchange) Exit’s 129 A & B.
Motorist traveling westbound on I-70 for Exit 129 B (SR 79 northbound) will be detoured via Exit 132 (SR 13), US 40, to SR 79. This closure will last for approximately 14 days, weather permitting.
ODOT’s contractor for this $2.3 million project is Double Z Construction, from Columbus, Ohio, and completion is set for December, 31, 2013.
