to begin on I-70/US 40 Interchange at Exit 152 in Muskingum County on Monday,
March 20th, 2017
Beginning Monday, March 20th, construction will begin on the
I-70/US 40 Interchange at Exit 152 in Muskingum County, west of the City of
Zanesville. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in each direction on I-70
at all times.
Shelly and Sands is the prime contractor for the project which
includes bridge replacements with widening and associated work. Two
lanes of traffic will be maintained in both directions on I-70 at all peak
traffic flow times, utilizing temporary pavement, median crossovers, temporary
bridge widening, and concrete barrier wall. There will be lane shifts
required and there will also be width restrictions at the bridges. The
estimated completion date for this project is July 1st, 2019.
The environmental review,
consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental
laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by ODOT pursuant to
23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and
executed by FHWA and ODOT.
