Interstate 70 eastbound Exit 129 A (Buckeye Lake Interchange) closed beginning Monday
Jacksontown, Ohio (Tuesday, June 11, 2013) – Beginning next week on Monday, June 17th, the Interstate 70 eastbound Exit 129 A (State Route 79 south/Buckeye Lake Interchange) in Licking County will be closed to traffic for approximately 14 days.
The Exit 129 A ramp will be closed for resurfacing and widening. This work is part of the safety reconfiguration of the I-70 and SR 79 (Buckeye Lake/Newark Interchange) Exit’s 129 A & B.
Motorist traveling eastbound on I-70 to SR 79 (Buckeye Lake Interchange) will be detoured via Exit 126 (SR 37 exit), SR 37, SR 79 north.
This closure will last for approximately 14 days, weather permitting.
ODOT’s contractor for this $2.3 million project is Double Z Construction, from Columbus, Ohio, and completion is set for December, 31, 2013.
