I-70 westbound traffic shift west of SR 79
Ohio (Thursday, March 13, 2014) –
Work is set to resume next Monday on an I-70 bridge replacement project
that will require westbound traffic to shift slightly, 2 miles west of SR 79 in
westbound traffic will be shifted to the median where each of the 12-foot lanes
will be separated by a permanent median barrier wall. Motorists are urged to
drive with caution through this area and to obey all posted signs.
I-70 traffic will be maintained in a normal traffic pattern with 12-foot lanes.
work is a part of a $10.6 million bridge widening and deck replacement project
that began in March 2013. ODOT’s contractor for this project is Double Z
Construction Company and work will be completed by November 2014.
