US 40

(JACKSONTOWN) – The Ohio Department of Transportation District 5 Deputy Director Don D. Barber, P.E./P.S. announces that on Friday, August 1, 2008 work will begin on US 40 from Gratiot to the Y-Bridge in Zanesville. The work being completed will include pavement resurfacing and construction of handicap ramps in existing sidewalk sections. The estimated completion date for this project is October 31, 2008, weather permitting. The work will be completed by the Shelly Company of Thornville, Ohio.

Traffic Control: In the four lane section of US 40 traffic will be maintained in one lane eastbound and one lane westbound. In the two lane section of US 40 traffic will be maintained by flaggers.
