Multiple routes in Lancaster to be resurfaced
Jacksontown, Ohio (Thursday, August 22, 2013) – Beginning this Monday, August 26 signs will be put in place for an upcoming project to resurface multiple routes in Lancaster. These routes include; U.S. Route 22 (from U.S. 33 to Marietta Rd.), State Route 37 (from Creekside Dr. to U.S. 22), State Route 158 (from U.S. 22 to just south of Rainbow Dr.), State Route 188( from Lynn Dr. to U.S. 22).
This work will not begin until after Labor Day weekend. The work on U.S. 22 from High St. to Marietta Rd. will be nighttime work, only. The All other work on the listed routes will be during daytime hours and traffic will be maintained with flaggers.
This project will require a closure of westbound U.S. 22 from High St. to Memorial Dr. in order for this work to progress, the closure date is currently being determined, this information will be released once it becomes available.
ODOT’s contractor for this $7.5 million project is The Shelly Company and work is set to be completed by July 31, 2014.
