Resurfacing work to begin on State Route 16 in Licking County

Jacksontown, Ohio (Thursday, May 16, 2013) – Work will begin Monday, May 20th, to resurface almost six miles of State Route 16 in Licking County.

The road will be resurfaced from the 21st Street exit to the SR 16 and SR 37 interchange between Newark and Granville.

This work will take place during evening hours between approximately 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., traffic will be reduced to one, 11-foot lane during construction hours.   

ODOT’s contractor for this $4.2 million project is the Shelly Company, from Thornville, Ohio. All work is to be completed by October 31st, 2013.
