SR 16 EB off ramp to Thornwood Crossing (Cherry Valley Interchange) to close for 30 days beginning Thursday, April 20, 2017
Beginning Thursday, April 20th, the SR 16 EB off ramp to Thornwood Crossing (Cherry Valley Interchange) will close for 30 days to remove full depth concrete on SR 16 at the old Cherry Valley intersection.
The current closure of the SR 16 WB on ramp from Thornwood Crossing is scheduled to reopen the day before on Wednesday, April 19th.
The existing concrete that needs to be removed from the old intersection extends back near the bottom of the off ramp making it unsafe for ramp traffic to exit onto Thornwood Crossing. Traffic will be detoured to Church Street, to the east. Two lanes will be maintained on SR 16 with 10’ width restrictions in both directions.
Traffic will follow SR 16 EB to the Church Street exit and follow signs for the detour to get back on SR 16 WB and exit at the SR 16 WB off ramp to Thornwood Crossing.
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
