U.S. 40 will remain closed this weekend
Jacksontown, Ohio (Thursday, August 29, 2013) – U.S. 40 will remain closed this Labor Day weekend just east of Cambridge between Arrowhead Rd. and Brick Rd. for an ongoing rock slope stabilization project.
Work for this project began the first of August, due to unforeseen technical issues the closure time has been extended. Work is expected to progress over the next week. Weather permitting, the road is expected to be re-opened prior to the opening of the Guernsey County Fair.
Traffic will continued to be detoured via U.S. 40 to SR 285 to U.S. 22 to I-77 back to U.S. 40.
Trucco Construction Company will be the contractor on this $1.4 million project.
