U.S. 62 nighttime closures begin tonight west of Martinsburg
Work was postponed yesterday due to weather
Jacksontown, Ohio (Tuesday, July 23, 2013) – Work will begin tonight on the first of three culvert replacements on U.S. 62 in Knox County. This work was set to begin last night but due to weather the start date was postponed to this evening.
Beginning at 6:30 p.m. tonight, U.S. 62 will be closed about 2 miles west of Martinsburg at Ewart Rd., the road will reopen tomorrow morning at 6 a.m. Motorists will be detoured via SR 13 to SR 586 back to US 62.
The following information provides an updated schedule for the separate closures and locations on U.S. 62 that begin tonight and will be completed by Saturday, July 27, weather permitting. Each closure will be in place from 6:30 p.m. until 6 a.m. on the following dates:
· Tuesday, July 23- Wednesday, July 24: About 2 miles west of Martinsburg at Ewart Rd.
o Detour: via SR 13 to SR 586 back to US 62.
· Wednesday, July 24 – Thursday, July 25 – About 2 miles north of Martinsburg at Ewart Rd.
o Detour: via SR 541 to SR 206 to US 36 to SR 229 back to US 62
· Thursday, July 25 – Saturday, July 27 – Just south of Millwood between New Castle Rd. and Caves Rd. ***Lepley Rd. will be closed at U.S. 62 on Thursday 7/25 (only) ***
o Detour via: SR 229 to US 36 back to US 62
Work is to be completed by Saturday, July 27 at 6:30 a.m., weather permitting.
