The following work is planned in the Franklin County area on the specified dates and times. All work is weather dependent; it may be postponed or cancelled without prior notice.
US 62 to Close Temporarily for Bridge Replacement
MONDAY, JULY 8
US Route 62 (Northeast Side) – (NEW) US 62 will close Monday, July 8 between Tippet Road and Walnut Street for 45 days. The closure is necessary to replace the bridge over Blacklick Creek in Franklin County.
The signed detour will be US 62 to SR 37 to SR 310 to SR 161 to US 62 or reverse.
A neighboring project on US 62 in Licking County will also begin July 8. This project will resurface 10 miles of US 62 from the Franklin/Licking County Line through Johnstown.
For the resurfacing work, US 62 will be reduced to one lane of two-way traffic from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
