The following work is planned in the Morrow County area on the specified dates and times. All work is weather dependent; it may be postponed or cancelled without prior notice.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 23
Interstate 71 – (NEW) At 8 p.m., I-71 north will be reduced to one lane at SR 61 for bridge work. At midnight, I-71 north will be closed at SR 61. Motorists will exit at SR 61 and then get back on I-71 north using the entrance ramp. Traffic will be maintained with law enforcement officers. All lanes of I-71 north will reopen by 5 a.m. Thursday.
THURSDAY, MAY 24
Interstate 71 – (NEW) At 8 p.m., I-71 south will be reduced to one lane at SR 61 for bridge work. At midnight, I-71 south will be closed at SR 61. Motorists will exit at SR 61 and then get back on I-71 south using the entrance ramp. Traffic will be maintained with law enforcement officers. All lanes of I-71 south will reopen by 5 a.m. Thursday.
US Route 42 – (NEW) Starting at 6 a.m. on Monday, June 4, US 42 will close in both directions between Westpoint Bellville and Johnsville-Waterford Road for bridge replacement. The bridge will be closed for 90 days. The detour will be US 42 to Sr 97 to SR 314 to US 42 or reverse.
County Road 121 – The County Road 121 Bridge over I-71 in Morrow County will close Monday May 14th for approximately two months. The closure will allow construction crews to build a new bridge as part of the widening project on I-71 in Morrow and Richland Counties.
State Route 61 – SR 61 south is closed on the bridge over I-71, but one lane of northbound traffic will be maintained. The detour for SR 61 south is I-71 south to SR 36 in Delaware County to I-71 north to SR 61 south. Estimated Completion: August 2012
State Route 19 – Starting at 7a.m., SR 19 will be reduced to one lane of two-way traffic between US 42 and Township Road 8 for pavement repair and resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers. Completion: August 30.
