The following work is planned in the Madison County area on the specified dates and times. All work is weather dependent; it may be postponed or cancelled without prior notice.
MONDAY, JUNE 18
Interstate 71 – (NEW) I-71 will be reduced to one lane in each direction between SR 41 and SR 56 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for pavement repair. Estimated completion: July 31.
State Route 323 – SR 323 is closed in both directions between Yankeetown-Chenoweth and Bragg for bridge replacement. The road will be closed for 90 days. The detour is SR 323 to SR 38 to I-71 to SR 56 to SR 323 or reverse. Estimated completion: June 19.
State Route 29 – SR 29 is reduced to one lane of two-way traffic between Ware Road and US 40 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily for resurfacing. Traffic is maintained with flaggers. Estimated completion: July 27.
US Route 42/State Route 38 – US 42/SR 38 is reduced to one lane of two-way traffic at SR 56 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily for resurfacing. Traffic is maintained with flaggers. The estimated completion is July 27, however, no work will take place during the London Strawberry Festival.
Taylor-Blair Road – Starting at 7 a.m., Taylor-Blair Road will close in both directions between US 40 and King Pike for bridge replacement. The detour is Taylor-Blair Road to US 40 to Middle Pike to King Pike to Taylor-Blair Road. Estimated completion: October 31.
