The following work is planned in the Delaware County area on the specified dates and times. All work is weather dependent; it may be postponed or cancelled without prior notice.
TUESDAY, JUNE 5
US Route 23 – (NEW) US 23 will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Hidden Ravines Drive and Stone Bend Drive from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. for installation of new traffic signals. Traffic will be maintained will law enforcement officers.
US Route 42 – Starting at 7 a.m., US 42 will be reduced to one lane of two-way traffic between SR 257 and SR 745 for bridge work. Traffic will be maintained using a temporary signal. Completion date: June 11.
State Route 229 – SR 229 will be reduced to one lane of two-way traffic between US 23 and Kilbourne Cardington Road from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. for pavement repair. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers. Completion date: July 1.
State Route 257 – SR 257 is reduced to one lane in each direction between Stratford Avenue and West Olentangy Street for the SR 257 widening project.
This $3 million project will widen SR 257 from two lanes to four lanes between Glick Road and the Columbus Zoo delivery entrance. Estimated completion: October 2012.
Interstate 71/US Route 36 – Two lanes of US 36 will be maintained in each direction. Traffic will be shifted over to allow crews to complete work at the I-71/US 36 interchange. Completion: November 2012.
