The following work is planned in the Morrow County area on the specified dates and times. All work is weather dependent; it may be postponed or cancelled without prior notice.
MONDAY, JULY 23
Interstate 71– (NEW) I-71 will be closed at SR 61 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. so crews can pour a new bridge deck. Drivers should use the exit and entrance ramps to go up and over to get back on I-71. All lanes of I-71 will be open by 6 a.m. Tuesday.
State Route 229 – SR 229 will closed between County Road 218 and SR 61 starting at 9 a.m. for culvert replacement. The detour is SR 229 to US 42 to SR 529 to SR 61 to SR 229 or reverse. Estimated completion date: July 27.
State Route 95 – SR 95 will be reduced to one lane of two-way traffic between US 23 and SR 746 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers. Estimated completion date: August 31.
State Route 61 – SR 61 south is closed on the bridge over I-71, but one lane of northbound traffic will be maintained. The detour for SR 61 south is I-71 south to SR 36 in Delaware County to I-71 north to SR 61 south. Estimated Completion: August 2012
US Route 42 – Starting at 6 a.m., US 42 will close in both directions between Westpoint Bellville and Johnsville-Waterford Road for bridge replacement. The bridge will be closed for 90 days. The detour will be US 42 to SR 97 to SR 314 to US 42 or reverse. Estimated completion: September 2.
County Road 14 – The County Road 14 Bridge over I-71 in Morrow County is closed for bridge replacement as part of the I-71 widening project. Completion: September 2012.
