UPCOMING TRAFFIC IMPACTS ON I-270 WEST SIDE
In Franklin County
The following work is planned in the Franklin County area on the specified dates and times. All work is weather dependent; it may be postponed or cancelled without prior notice.
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 27
Interstate 270/70 (Southwest Side) – (NEW) The ramp from I-70 east to I-270 south on the southwest side will be closed for pavement reconstruction from 9 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Saturday morning. The detour is I-70 east to Wilson Road to I-70 west to I-270 south.
When the ramp opens Saturday morning, the following ramps will close:
I-70 west to I-270 north and south from Saturday morning to 5 a.m. Monday for pavement reconstruction. The detour is I-70 west to Hilliard-Rome Road to I-70 east to I-270 north or south.
When the ramps open Monday morning, motorists will notice they are driving on new pavement and there is a new traffic configuration.
Instead of four lanes for I-70 west, there will be three lanes until the end of this year. The left and middle lane will be for I-70 west traffic, and the right and middle lane for I-270 traffic.
