Closure of Dempsey Road Extended
TUESDAY, AUGUST 30
Dempsey Road (Northeast Side) – Due to weather and utility issues, the closure of Dempsey Road in Westerville will be extended until Friday, September 16.
On August 8, The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) closed Dempsey Road as part of the $7 million State Route 3 safety project. ODOT is working to realign the intersection of Dempsey Road and Emrick Road at SR 3.
There are at least two detours for motorists. One is SR 3 to Huber Village Drive to South Hempstead Road to Dempsey Road or reverse. Another detour route is SR 3 to SR 161 to Sunbury Road to Dempsey Road or reverse.
