Side Bridge Work Will Impact Weekend Traffic
Work at I-70 and I-270
– East Side travelers should expect longer drive
times at the Interstate 70/270 interchange this weekend. The Ohio Department of
Transportation (ODOT) will close all through lanes of I-270 southbound starting
Friday night until Monday morning for bridge work.
Southbound I-270 traffic will be maintained using
the ramp lanes for Main Street and I-70. That means drivers on I-270 south will
be pushed over to the right just before Main Street and use the “exit only” lanes
that are typically for traffic entering and exiting I-270 south.
I-70 east and west will also be impacted
overnight along with ramps at the interchange. Times and detours are listed below.
The $6.8 million project that kicks off this
weekend includes resurfacing and bridge work on I-270 from north of Broad Street
to south of I-70.
