In Franklin County
The following work is planned in the Franklin County area on the
specified dates and times. All work is weather dependent; it may be postponed
or cancelled without prior notice.
9 – MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12
State Route 104 – (NEW) The following lanes and
ramps will be closed from 9 a.m. to 5 a.m. for bridge work:
7 PM: SR
104 east and west closed at US 23. Both directions of SR 104 traffic is
maintained using the ramps at US 23. Note, there are traffic signals at both
ramps and law enforcement officers will be present throughout the weekend. EB
drivers on SR 104 cannot go NB on US 23. They should continue to Groveport Rd.
to SR 104 west to US 23 NB.
5 AM MONDAY:
All ramps are back open. US 23 NB and SB are open with one lane for each
Interstate 70 – (NEW) The following ramps will
be closed from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. for bridge work.
I-70 west to I-270 south.
The detour is I-70 west to I-270 north to Roberts Road to I-270 south.
I-270 south to I-70 east.
The detour is I-270 south to I-70 west to Hilliard Rome Road to I-70 east.
U.S. Route 23 (Downtown)
– (NEW) US 23 will be reduced to
two lanes in each direction between I-70 and I-670 from 7 a.m. to noon for pavement
State Route 315 (North
Side) – (NEW) The following
lanes and ramps will be closed between I-270 and SR 161 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
for pavement repairs.
SR 315 south will be reduced to two lanes and the ramp from I-270 east to SR
315 south will close. The detour is I-270 east to US 23 south to SR 161 west to
SR 315 south.
SR 315 will be reduced to one lane and the ramp from I-270 west to SR 315 south
will close. The detour is I-270 west to Sawmill Road to I-270 east to SR 315
All lanes of SR 315 south will be closed.
The detour is I-270 west to Sawmill Road to I-270 east to SR 315 south.
All lanes and ramps are open.
Glenwood Avenue – (NEW) Glenwood Avenue will be
closed in both directions underneath I-70 starting at 7 a.m for bridge
work. The detour is Glenwood Avenue to Thomas Avenue to Cypress Avenue to Mound
Street to Glenwood Avenue or reverse. Completion: October 12th.
Street (Downtown) – Short Street is closed in both directions
just north of Liberty Street. The detour is Short Street to the temporary road
to the alley next to Columbus Brewing Company to Short Street or reverse.
Drivers on Liberty Street that want to go north on Short Street should proceed
straight through intersection at Short Street and take the temporary road to
Hamilton Road – Hamilton
Rd. will be reduced to one lane of two way traffic between US 62 and Clark
State Rd. from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for construction. Completion: September
U.S. Route 33 – US
33 south will be reduced to one lane at Fishinger Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
daily for pavement work. Completion: September 9th.
State Route 315 (North Side) – SR 315 will be reduced to
one lane in each direction between Wilson Bridge Road and Hard Road from 9 a.m.
to 3 p.m. for pavement work.
Completion: September 9th.
Route 62 – US 62 will be closed in both directions
between Columbus Street and Stahl Road for bridge replacement over the Big
Darby Creek. The detour will be US 62 to SR 56 west into Mt. Sterling to
I-71 north to US 62 or reverse.
Completion: October 30th.
Alkire Road (South Side) – The
intersection of Alkire Road and Darby Creek Drive will be closed starting at 9
a.m. for construction of a roundabout. The detour for eastbound motorists is
Georgesville Wrightsville Road south to London Groveport Road east to Norton
Road north. The detour for southbound motorists is US 40 east to Norton Road
south to London Groveport Road west to Georgesville Wrightsville Road north. Completion:
Side MEGA Fix
Route 315 – (NEW) The
ramps from SR 315 north and south to I-270 west will be closed from 11 p.m. to
5 a.m. for bridge work. The detour is I-270 west to Sawmill Road to I-270 east
to SR 315 north or south. Completion: September 17.
