NEW RAMP CHANGE ON THE WEST SIDE
Don’t go the old way if you want to travel north
COLUMBUS—(NEW) Motorists must now use a new temporary ramp to access I-270 north from eastbound Broad Street (US 40) on the southwest side.
The new ramp is in a different location and it will take time for drivers to break old habits.
Beginning today and for the next seven months, the entrance ramp from eastbound Broad Street to I-270 north is on the opposite side of the street.
If you are travelling east on Broad Street, do not exit to the right, but travel under the interstate and turn left to enter I-270 north. If you are west on Broad Street and want to go north, you will use the same ramp you have always used.
If you are east on Broad Street, you will still be able to use to entrance ramp to I-270 south. The only thing that has changed is the access point to I-270 north for eastbound motorists.
There is extra signage in place to direct motorists through the Broad Street/I-270 interchange on the west side.
