SR 750 to Open on Time, but
will Close Again Temporarily
Delaware – (NEW) SR 750 between
SR 315 and Valley Run Drive in Delaware County will open by 4 p.m. today,
weather permitting. The western leg of SR 750 closed March 17 so left
turn lanes could be constructed.
As promised, the roadway will be open by
the start of the Memorial Day holiday weekend and remain open through the
Memorial Golf Tournament.
The road will have to close again on
June 2 and remain closed for two weeks for final paving and completion of landscaping.
Due to utility delays, the project could
not be completed prior to the Memorial Day holiday. Since delaying the project
was not an option, ODOT worked with the contractor to make sure SR 750 was
open, safe and passable by May 23 or sooner.
means the contractor still needs to pave the final surface course of asphalt
and complete installation of landscaping. This includes dozens of wire baskets
that look like rabbit cages. These baskets-- located on both SR 750 and 315--
are filled with soil and plant materials. The goal is to create a natural green
wall along both roadways.
SR 750 closes, the posted detour will be SR-257 to US-42 to US-23 to SR-315 or
Sawmill Parkway to I-270 to SR-315.
