Project Update: No SB work this week and
Tentative Date for Greenlawn Ramp Closure
Beginning at 9 p.m. every night, I-71 north will be reduced to one lane between
Stringtown and Frank Roads so the contractor can move concrete barrier.
Originally, the contractor was also going to work on I-71 southbound too, but
that work has been pushed back to next week.
The 'South Side Mega
Fix' project kicked off this Sunday. It's
a five mile ODOT construction project that will build extra lanes, new bridges
and exit ramps. The $113 million project will be under construction for three
years with completion planned for the Fall of 2020.
The project team tentatively announced that the entrance ramp from
Greenlawn Avenue to I-71 north will be closed for 15 days beginning October 5.
The detour is Greenlawn Ave. to Harmon Avenue to W. Mound St. to I-70 east.
