The following work is planned in the Madison County area on the specified dates and times. All work is weather dependent; it may be postponed or cancelled without prior notice.
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 26
State Route 29 – NEW START DATE SR 29 will close in both directions between US 42 and I-70 beginning at 7 a.m. for a culvert replacement. The detour is SR 29 east to US 42 to I-70 to SR 29 or reverse. Completion: October 25th.
Interstate 70 – I-70 east will be reduced to one lane between US 42 and SR 142 from 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. for pavement repair. From 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., I-70 east will be reduced to two lanes.
Completion: September 16.
Interstate 70 – Beginning at 7 p.m., I-70 east will be reduced to one lane nightly at SR 29 for pavement work. The ramps from SR 29 north and south to I-70 east will be closed. The detour will be for northbound SR 29 to US 42 south to I-70 east. The detour for southbound SR 29 to US 40 west to US 42 north to I-70 east. Completion: September 31st.
U.S. Route 62 – US 62 is closed in both directions between Columbus Street and Stahl Road for bridge replacement over the Big Darby Creek in Franklin County. The detour will be US 62 to SR 56 west into Mt. Sterling to I-71 north to US 62 or reverse. Completion: October 30th.
NOTE: This work on US 62 is in Franklin Co., but included due to its proximity to Madison Co.
