Impacts to I-270 SOUTH Near Easton All Weekend
Drivers should allow extra travel time
Starting Friday, crews will continue extensive concrete repair work on
I-270 between SR 161 and I-670, weather permitting. This weekend's work will
impact southbound drivers only.
That means drivers who
are headed to Easton, Gahanna or the airport this weekend should allow extra
travel time to get through the work zone safely. Read the signs and pick your
Since two lanes of
I-270 south will be closed, drivers will want to stay right. The Morse
Road exit will not take you through on I-270 south. That lane is an exit only
lane for Morse Road. To continue on I-270 south, drivers will need to use the
two right lanes.

reflects exactly what the driver will see as they approach the work zone.
FRIDAY, JULY 14 - MONDAY, JULY 17
- 8 PM: I-270 south thru lanes will close at SR 161. At SR
161, northbound traffic must stay right of the concrete barrier.
- 8 PM: The ramp from SR 161 west to I-270 south will be
reduced to one lane.
- 5 AM Monday: All lanes and ramps will reopen.
Note: I-270 south
ramps to and from Morse Road will remain open.
These concrete repairs
are part of a $14 million project that is widening the I-670/270 interchange as
well as raising the Goshen Bridge over I-270. The entire project is expected to
be complete this fall.
The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by
applicable Federal environmental laws for these projects are being, or have
been, carried out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of
Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
