Work to begin on SR 61 in Morrow County after Labor Day
Drivers encouraged to plan ahead
State Route 61 – On Tuesday, September 6, The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) will begin construction on State Route 61 over I-71 in Morrow County which could impact travel time.
Between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., one lane of two-way traffic will be maintained with flaggers. The restriction is necessary for crews to install temporary pavement. This traffic pattern will remain in effect through September 16.
Access to businesses at the Interchange will be maintained during construction.
ODOT is investing $5 million to widen and raise the SR 61 Bridge over I-71. The project is expected to be complete Fall of 2012.
