Union County Bridge Work Set to Begin
Improving for Today…Connecting to Tomorrow
Delaware, Ohio – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation’s (ODOT) initiative to “Fix it First”, a bridge project is set to begin in Union County. Fix it First is ODOT’s commitment to preserving Ohio’s current highways and bridges. Work on the State Route 4 bridge over Bokes Creek will begin April 29. The work includes replacing the bridge deck and approaches.
SR 4 will be closed to traffic at the bridge and will reopen the end of June, weather permitting. The posted detour will be SR 347 to SR 37 or reverse.
The bridge work is part of an $885,000 project to rehabilitate two bridges in Union County. The second bridge is on Mitchell-Dewitt Road over US 33. Rehabilitation work on this project will begin later this summer.
