"Slow for the Cone Zone" near Tuttle Crossing Mall
Columbus (Thursday, July 29, 2010) – Crews working for the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) will resume safety and road surface improvements beginning this Friday to the I-270 bridges over Hayden Run Road that will impact travel on the northwest side of the county.
At 7 p.m. Friday July 30, traffic on I-270 will be reduced to two lanes in both directions between Cemetery Road and Tuttle Crossing. At 9 p.m. Hayden Run Road under the bridge will close, and at 10 p.m., two entrance ramps will close. Drivers will not be able to access I-270 south from Tuttle Crossing or I-270 north from Cemetery Road in Hilliard.
The detour for the Tuttle Crossing ramp closure at Tuttle Crossing is Tuttle Crossing Boulevard east to Frantz Road south to Dublin Road south, to Davidson Road west to Trueman Boulevard south to Cemetery Road west to I-270 south or Tuttle Crossing Boulevard west to Britton Parkway south to Cemetery Road east to I-270 south. The detour for the Cemetery Road ramp is Cemetery Road east to Trueman Boulevard north to Davidson Road east to Dublin Road to Franz Road north to Tuttle Crossing Boulevard west to I-270 north.
The detour for Hayden Run Road is Britton Drive to Davidson Road to Dublin Road and reverse.
ODOT is restricting work to weekends to minimize impact to the 120,000 vehicles that travel this roadway during the week. Work on the $1.4 million bridge project is expected to be complete in August.
All lanes and ramps along will be open by Monday morning at 5 a.m.
