ALL LANES OF STATE ROUTE 315 NOW OPEN
COLUMBUS (Friday, September 10, 2010)– Even before the Friday morning commute was over, all three lanes of State Route 315 northbound and all ramps except for one were open.
The Ohio State University and City of Columbus asked ODOT to keep the Olentangy River Road ramp to SR 315 north closed until Wednesday at 5 a.m., in order to manage football game traffic and complete final paving.
The $24 million ODOT State Route 315 project, which improved approximately six miles of roadway in both directions and 17 bridges , was completed a year ahead of schedule.
Because of good weather and Complete General’s aggressive work schedule, final paving on both directions of SR 315 including all entrance and exit ramps is expected to be completed this year. The contractor had until August 2011 to complete all work.
Over the next several weeks, motorists should be aware of some lane restrictions and closures, primarily at night, to complete final paving on a few ramps and bridge painting. This work along with some equipment clean-up and removal is expected to wrap up before the first snowfall.
