Toto, We are not in Kansas anymore!
Grove City Interchange goes from Two Lanes to Seven
DELAWARE – (NEW) Just as Dorothy described her journey in that classic tale, The Wizard of Oz; it won’t seem like Grove City either, after the new interchange at Interstate 71 and State Route 665 opens Friday morning, weather permitting.
Like the Land of Oz, ODOT has created a color-coded map to help you drive safely through the new interchange.
Don’t look for the yellow brick road, just stay in your lane.
There are a total of seven of them on the new bridge.
You won’t find witches, good or wicked, just access to all points east, west, north and south.
Like the scarecrow, use your brain and read those signs.
No need for extra courage, just obey the traffic signals.
Unlike the Tin Man, ODOT has a heart.
This new interchange includes a multi-use path for bikes and tots.
No field of poppies to put you to sleep.
Just a median planter box and landscaping in the right-of-way.
Clicking your heels won’t get you home.
Try paying attention, avoiding distractions and driving the posted speed.
This urban interchange is now the new gateway to the South.
There’s room for all, even a developer who wants a mall.
So after two years, it’s off we go.
Trucks, cars, buses and bikes.
Note: The map includes a key.
