Weather postpones opening of Glick Road to the Weekend
Road was supposed to open Wednesday, October 31
DELAWARE (Tuesday, October 30, 2012) – A combination of weather conditions including remnants of a hurricane have postponed the opening of Glick Road in Southern Delaware County by several days.
Last Wednesday, a small section of Glick Road was closed to complete reconstruction of the SR 257 project. The project which will widen SR 257 from two lanes to four between Glick Road and the Columbus Zoo started in April.
Right now, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) plans to open the road this weekend. The specific day and time will not be known until crews are able to start working again.
The detour is SR 745 to Home Road to SR 257.
The $3.5 million project is expected to be complete next month.
