Wilson Road to close north of Roberts Road intersection
COLUMBUS – (NEW) The saying goes what we do to one side, we have to do to the other. The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) will close the northern section of Wilson Road Monday, August 19 starting at 8 p.m.
Wilson Road will close between Roberts Road and Old Roberts Road for 15 days for intersection improvements. The detour is Old Roberts Road.
Also starting Monday at 8 p.m., westbound Roberts Road traffic east of the bridge will have to drive past the ramp they usually take to I-270 north and instead turn right to use the second entrance ramp closest to the bridge.
Beginning this afternoon, there will no longer be a designated right turn lane from eastbound Roberts Road onto Westbelt, but motorists can still turn right from the adjacent lane. Westbound Roberts Road traffic will not be impacted.
The Roberts Road bridge closed July 29 for 90 days. ODOT is building an $8.7 million diverging diamond interchange at I-270 and Roberts Road, which will move more vehicles through the interchange safely.
