Location: State Route 315 at SR 750 in Southern Delaware County
Project History: Click here for project history.
The Latest: This project is expected to sell this summer.
Status of the Project: ODOT is continuing design of this project with the recent addition of left turn lanes on SR 315 and will expedite the construction of this portion of the project in 2013. The expedited construction will also include a portion of the riverbank stabilization work, north of SR 750.
The remainder of the riverbank stabilization work will be constructed in a subsequent year.
Pictured below is what you'll see at the SR 315/750 intersection in 2013.
Current Riverbank Condition: The severity of the landslide within the project area varies from low to high, with the two most critical locations at the two bends in the river, north and south of SR750. The roadway is monitored biweekly by ODOT-Delaware County employees.
Adding Turn Lanes on SR 750 and SR 315: The slope stabilization project has always included adding left turn lanes in both directions on SR 750 in an effort to reduce congestion.
Now ODOT will also add left turn lanes in both directions on SR 315.
Funding: Funding has been identified for the slope stabilization and construction of the left turn lanes on SR 750 and SR 315.
Currently, the total construction cost is estimated at $4 million for the 2013 construction.
Construction Start Date: The earliest construction would begin on the project is August 2013, but that is subject to acquiring the necessary environmental approvals, permits and right-of-way.
