Rendering SmartlaneProject Description

The $60 million project includes interchange improvements at I-270/670 on the East Side of Columbus and construction of Ohio's first 'SmartLane' on I-670 eastbound.

A 'Smartlane' is an extra travel lane that is only open during certain times when drivers need congestion relief the most. The I-670 'SmartLane' will begin just east of I-71 in downtown Columbus and extend to I-270 on the East Side.

At the I-270/670 interchange, ODOT will build two new ramp bridges to carry I-670 eastbound traffic to I-270 and I-270 traffic through the Easton area. The project also includes noise wall construction.
